Cambridge Teaching Schools' Network
Cambridge Teaching Schools’ Network
In 2012 Histon and Impington Junior School was a founding member of the Cambridge All-Through Teaching School Alliance (CATTSA), together with Swavesey Village College and Parkside Community College. Since then, CATTSA has worked in partnership with other Teaching School Alliances to form the Cambridge Teaching Schools Network (CTSN).
CTSN is an effective and sustainable partnership of schools, which seeks to deliver improved outcomes for young people through the development of high quality teaching and leadership, continually seeking to further school improvement within a school led, self-improving system. This is achieved by providing high quality Initial Teaching Training, school to school support and professional development for teaching and leadership.
Histon and Impington Junior School and the other CPET schools play a lead primary school role within CTSN. Lesley Birch acts as Chair of the CTSN Steering Group and she and other CPET leaders contribute substantially to the success of CTSN, both strategically and operationally. Through its engagement, CTSN has supported over 150 schools.
